Editions
Unless otherwise noted, Richard Tallent's photographs on this site are available in a Limited Edition of 7, plus 3 artist's proofs, for the following sizes: 11×14, 16×20, 22×28, 24×30, and 28×36.
Print Process
All of Richard's prints are C prints (chromogenic prints). This process exposes traditional photographic paper to the digital master image using LEDs. The paper is then processed using RA-4 chemistry, creating a continuous-tone, true photographic print.
Unlike inkjet/glicée prints, no ink is involved in the process, so there is no smudging, fading, or spray pattern. The prints are also sharper, cleaner, and more brilliant than an ink-based process. Richard's prints are produced using archival photo papers (Fuji Crystal Archive Professional type C paper, matte). When stored appropriately, these can have a lifetime of 100+ years.
By default, prints are provided unmounted. Mounting on museum-quality mat board can be quoted on request. Most prints have a small white border for ease in careful handling and mounting. Each print is hand-inspected, and is signed and numbered on the reverse by the artist (obverse by request).
Sales during Exhibitions
Richard strongly supports local organizations that bring the arts to the public through exhibitions and juried shows. If a collector wishes to make an investment in a piece that is currently being exhibited in the same metropolitan area, they will be encouraged to purchase the print through the gallery.
